In this case the inclusion would appear to be misleading.
The club can only print the commitments its players provide. If one overestimates their ability and gets buried deep on the bench, as seems likely to happen in this instance, don't blame the club.

Wrong. If the club is going to use the information to sell its product they have an obligation to know its accuracy. Then to, what does it say about the coach's involvement if they have no idea what sort of situation their player is walking into. At the very least they should know if the player is in over their head. That is unless they are so detached they have no idea what the college coach is looking for and what their player brings to the table.

Here is yet another list. It was just posted in the other thread you keep harping in. Is it any different than the other lists posted in this thread?

What do you suggest a club coach do then if a player, in their opinion, is walking into a situation above their ability? Should they insert themselves and help place the player with a lower level program?

Good luck on that one. Also there are positives that come from being part of a high level team even if one doesn't play. Every team has bench sitters from UNC to Arkansas (trying to pick a school where no one goes here). I doubt that players who have no chance to contribute regularly think they do or think it is more than a long shot.

Not misleading at all if the commitment came AFTER the press release...I mean, logically speaking, but don't let the concept of temporal impossibility get your way.

Does either of these lists really tell you anything?
These are virtually useless without knowing timelines, genders, whether kids really rostered/played, etc. That said, 2nd list is clearly a Stars list and for what it's worth has far less lower end D3s (academically and athletically) as the 1st list.

We don't need to throw out a lot of nonsense to confuse the situation. It is well-accepted, despite those that want to distract you, who over the past 5 years has had the best outcomes and results (both on the pitch and at the college doors). Not close. Slam dunk. Thanks for playing.

It's really weird when folks ignore clear data presented like 46 out of 55 to D1 and very concrete outcomes for a club or team and go off on some tangent to distract everyone. What possibly could be the relevance of referencing old Bolts and CRU, especially when the landscape and overall difficulty of landing a D1 spot have changed significantly.

Schools can only make one press release about an incoming class per the NCAA; that's why you see some announcements delayed (waiting for all class members to be accepted) or see some players not included. Some schools include all players including those without NLIs; others only post scholarship players. It's dangerous to make assumptions based on the press releases and frankly it's not anyone's business who gets what sort of money from whom.

Fact: JD and GC told their teams they sucked in Chicago.

Fact: GC has told current U16 players that he wanted them committed this year.
Juniors should be committed by the end of Jr year. After jr year there are very few opportunities to be seen and schools are running out of roster spots. Any coach who is advising his team that they can wait until fall of sr yr is either coaching mostly lower end d3 players or is a fool.
Just love how the story always changes to dispell whenever the previous version doesn't make the Stars look good in the moment. This was posted on the commitmentsss thread. So now everyone is just supposed to believe that a relatively high level program like UConn was saving scholarship money?

I'm sure you are bashing something here but no sure what.

Are you saying waiting until after jr year is a good idea?

NEFC is great. Stars focus too much on college. Then there is one Stars player who might not really be committed (out of the 200). Then they are actually committing TOO early.

One thing rings very clear. There is an awful lot of talk about Stars/Scorps and colleges. Must be a high correlation.

Nope just frantic and having a little trouble following my own arguments. It's so much easier when I knock down my own straw man arguments.
