They wouldn't offer her the spot if she wasn't good.

All the girls listed on the committed page are facts too...believe me, all us parents talk. Why would they post fake commits...I don't think the college coaches listed would appreciate it.

Don't believe us if you don't want to. We don't care. Just don't take a great opportunity away from your child because you live by the "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't " motto. This is definitely one exception to that rule.
Good for you and congrats to your kid. Stop letting yourselves be bullied and intimidated by the silly, convoluted games being played here.

Congrats, but I doubt its guaranteed for all 4 years? Is it a top level school? Is some of the money academic? You need to give all the pieces of the puzzle to be fair.

What about an ECNL club like Soccer Plus. Their U15 team in 22 GA and 0 GF in their last 6 games and they went to San Diego and lost all 3, 15GA 0 GF.

Is a team like that really worth it, ECNL or not......

Their U14 team is 0-14-2. I bet a lot of college coaches show up for their games.

Don't answer. Unless it's Stanford you'll be pilloried for days.

What about? What about? What about? What about?

Maybe not in that case. Not for you or me to decide. BUT what league in any sport at any level, from town to college to the NBA to the NFL to MBL doesn't have bottom dwellers. There is ALWAYS someone in last place. That's life.

OMG. My D is among the better players on one of the top teams in the state--but not with an ECNL club. Maybe we'd better try to move to a certain ECNL club to confirm just how good she really is, because almost all the best players are already there. If she's judged to be good enough, they might make room for her. Yet, somehow, there are top teams in the state at a certain non-ECNL club. But over $100,000 might possibly be at stake, and no non-ECNL path is feasible, even though good D1 commitments are obviously being had via other paths. LOL

Yes, even soccerplus gets kids to college programs. I'm sure you can see them on their website. The dirty little secret is that colleges recruit players not teams. And that it what has rattled the old guard so much, as a player can get recruited from so called lesser teams. Having watched a lot of ecnl teams, I can tell you the difference between the top teams and the doormats is the roster depth. The no re entry in a half rule really hurts some teams. Starting lineups throughout are typically pretty even. Sorry if this not the answer you are looking for.

No worries. They're not talking about kids as special as yours. They're talking about garden variety really good players. And the post didn't say anything close to your translation.

In other words, no ECNL teams are truly mediocre: it simply might appear that way, since roster depth is somehow far more important, at that exceptional level, than starting units. Of course, recruiting players--not teams or leagues--somehow speaks overwhelmingly in favor of the ECNL league, since college coaches are too stupid or lazy to scout top teams or standout players elsewhere. Makes sense.

There mere appearance of shilling again--for the neutral, disinterested cause of tireless truth telling and combating the diabolical.

                            Exactly.

I'd be quite interested in discussing issues with ECNL, and DAP, for that matter, that actually might be real. For instance, I am interested in what the effects have been of not playing in state cups and no longer playing in high school. Has there been something lost, or in the case of DAP commanding so little attention on TS, is that significant at all or are those kids more than getting the attention and accolades they want in ways we can't see here.

But if the name of the game is to get recruited, then is this ECNL team worth it? Do you have a stuttering problem perspective?

That's a stupid deduction, but clearly it took a lot from you to do so. It's about opportunity brainshark.
