I disagree. The Revs 18 tie the Bolts U18. The Bolts U16 win 2-1. The Bolts now know that the U16 team is almost solely dependent on the two Africans to score their goals.....one '97 and the other a '96......right.
Interesting implication about players' ages. I know there's been a lot of talk in the soccer world about the various ways in which people around the globe track birth dates. That discussion aside: Did anyone question the age of the big Bolts striker last year and the year before? I was curious, so I looked up some numbers. The Revs' two players mentioned are reported as 5'7"/140 lbs and 6'/150 lbs this year. The Bolts' big guy was listed two years ago as 6'/165 lbs and last year as 6'1" 175. Why no speculation? I'm NOT suggesting there should be any. But I do suggest that folks move on. Otherwise, it feels as if you're setting up a foundation in case the Bolts lose Monday. Good teams find a way. If you're a Bolts fan, you should trust that they will.

I will grasp the third rail, this BS of overage players primarily
African and Spanish, has being going on for a number of years
now. Everybody in authority hides on this. Nobody wants the
racist card thrown at them. Race has nothing to do with it.
It's wrong and it's cheating and anybody complicit in this
should be turfed out end of story

It is simple......when you present an American birth certificate people believe it....date and all. When you present a foreign birth certificate, there are more questions. This is no different in any profession in the US. We feel that credentials from this country have validity. We have doubt of those from third world countries.
no....just stating facts throughout the country. Credentials from other countries, especially third world ones (and Russia too) are looked upon with suspicion. I assume that you are a liberal socialist and are willing to let anyone in and give everything to them.

Sorry you didn't get the sarcasm! I think you are 100%
right!! people have been cowed into staying silent on this!

Sorry for being over-sensitive. I usually don't have that problem. I am tired of the politically correct crowd. To the last poster, the effort to prove illegal documents is costly and takes time. There are few, if any who want to put forth the effort......for a 'youth sport'. To expect those in control to be honest is asking for too much. Actually, within the realm that they have established the can claim that they are acting within all legality....even though the players themselves joke about it.
Can anything be done about this? There seems to have been cases in
recent years where local clubs have been more than willing. to turn
a blind eye when it suits them.
It is well-known that many foreign born players lie about birth years in order to maximize the number of years in American public schools...
Again, as noted by the previous poster, disproving claimed birth dates is difficult and costly. Despite what one may "know" from chatter among players, it is not worth getting upset about unless you can offer proof.
