Yeah, that is a problem for college recruiters. Where are the Juniors? Some are playing U16 against mostly younger kids. The others are on the U18 team often sitting on the bench or not showcased as the 18's (mostly already committed) are playing.

Well he can only play for one college coach so I am sure he will disappoint all but one.....so you are saying because he choses to play HS he will not get his first choice, but if he chose DAP he would get his first choice. Practice 4 times a week, games every weekend!!! I think the fog of war
is clearing and most normal people realize the insanity of this.

I agree with this - you can have a look at the 2012-13 schedule now on the USSDA site. True us northerners get a few months break but I'll assume there's plenty of practices and trips off to warmer climates in there - costly. So when is a high school kid going to be part of his high school - have time for any other school activities? social activities? Parents too - how much driving can you take? Its one thing if your kid in some top Europe youth academy, to make this commitment - but even then, they live there and you don't do this.

Never!! As long as you have adults who were, in many cases non
athletic class dweebs living their dream thru their kids. Most
people who were jocks at school can see thru the hard sell.

So let your kid play HS and stop with the whining. As for the schedule, if you were actually involved with DAP you would know that there are only 2 showcase tournaments. One in Dec and one in Jun. This is for kids who want to play at a high level all year round. What do you not get about this, and why do you constantly feel the need to prove your point of view? It is not that complicated...choose to play DAP or stay with HS.
