I saw the first half and Braintree was overmatched. I watched for 30 minutes and they did not have one opportunity towards the goal. I was shocked when I saw this score. I was 2-0 at halftime.

You're right first half was all Needham but second half was all Braintree. We were totally outplayed in the second half. Braintree tied Weymouth the other night

Although Newton North is very much like a club team because students can choose to go to either North or South it's still a high school and a lot of the supporting players do not have solid skills. In most other high schools some of those players are only part-time soccer players. Their main sports are hockey, basketball or softball.

Therefore it is a coaches responsibility to teach Individual Fundamentals and Team Fundamentals. Please do not tell me that they cannot do that with two to three two hour practices a week.

Those of you who are parents on this forum please do not accept this excuse from coaches who either cannot teach skills or who are bored by the process.

No. You do not get to choose. It is based on your home address. You can petition to go to the other high school in the city but it is fairly unusual (but apparently was more common 15-20 years ago). I know both high school teams in town fairly well and there is currently no one on either team from out-of-district.
