I saw Needham girls against Newton North last night. Needham took them apart. To all the haters out there the Needham coach completely outcoached his opponent. Needham had possession, controlled the flow of the game and had better players, a better game plan and better restarts. Do not know the final score but it could have been a 3 or 4 goal difference.
Number 18 combined with a wide player for one of the best goals that I have seen in high school.Comment

You clearly do not know club soccer. The previous poster was correct. Needham is good for high school soccer, but not for good club soccer or anywhere near top ISL or AB levels. This has nothing to do with the coaching. Newton North has been on a downward spira for several years. South now gets more of the better talent, although they are not so good either. North has a new coach who is quite good but does not have the players Needham does. The skills have to be in place before they get to high school. All a high school coach can do is try and polish what his or her players already have. Isn't that what's being done?
