You don't think teams in the Hock tried various ways to stop her? I believe that she scored 3 or 4 against OA, currently playing in the D1 semi!

They are certainly beatable but I haven't seen another team play better soccer.

Newburyport will be disciplined and follow the game plan instructed by their coach. When I say disciplined I don't mean that they will retain possession or avoid physical contact. In fact - far from it. That is why they are successful, they fulfill their coch's game plan. I guess it is possible for them to win in a 3-2 scorline, but more likely, they will look to do what ever it takes to shut down the Canton stud and either score on a set play or take it to PKs. Their coach has had control over this group of seniors since they were 9 or 10 and they play his style. Give them some credit as it has gotten them to the E Mass final. Sure they are lucky that it was an incredibly weak slate of teams in D2 North and they got their toughest opponent (Belmont) on the field that their coach personally grooms (size and condition) to suit their style. But they have beaten who was scheduled and in a one and out scenerio I wouldn't bet against them.

Agree. Game evenly played & could have easily gone the other way. Wasn't the prettiest game, with refs not calling much, but both teams battled all night. Two very good teams. Refreshing to see posts like yours. Congrats to OA on a great season. Maybe we can hook up next season in a non-league game. Thanks.
