Which I guess means that their record reflects that they've had it harder up to now?

AB was front-loaded with a tougher schedule, plus the out of league matchups which were a good challenge. It looks like they are gelling nicely now with two starters coming back off injuries just in time to wrap things up and head to the post season. It will be interesting to see how the DCL plays out moving forward. Let's hope that all of the teams can remain healthy.

Unfortunately for LS, they lost their #1 central midfielder who directs the flow.

LS has 4 players on the DCL leaderboard for scoring. Was one of them out? LS has a goalkeeper on the top of the DCL leaderboard. Was she out? I think trying to explain away a loss by blaming it on an injury is tough. It isn't fair to the girl(s) who are injured, or the rest of the team who was playing. Guess what? Sometimes a team loses because they didn't play as well as the other team.

No one is blaming injury on anything and quite frankly I SAID AB showed up to win. Clearly LS didn't. From what I understand, AB came out of the box with full pressure. They had better ball control and was first to the ball. Relax

Obviously, you can look at the leader board to answer your own question. Maybe you are just trying to make some point that AB is a balanced team or something, but I'll play along because I have too much time on my hands this morning.

Looking at the leader board and standings on Boston.com to compare goals scored on teams that have scoring leaders (not counting any assists)...

CC has 45 goals - 1 girls has 31
LS has 39 goals - 4 girls add up to 25
Weston has 33 goals - 2 girls add up to 24
Westford has 30 goals - 2 girls add up to 12
Bedford has 29 goals - 1 girls has 8
AB has 26 goals - no leaders

I think I added all of the 2's and 1's correctly!

It also shifted players into positions that they haven't played for a long time. The style of play also suffered because they moved away from their approach that had won 12 games, building up play through the midfield, which they demonstrated at times yesterday that they could still do, to trying to play over the top to target players, which didn't work.

They might be in trouble, or they might figure it out over the next three games before the tournament. They still have a fair amount of talent. They need to stay healthy for the rest of the season and get back to playing the ball on the ground through the midfield.

CC isn't lacking in defense. I have seen many of their games, they are fine on the defense. They can't score for their living daylights though. They will be right in-front of the net and still miss. I would also disagree that defense wins tournaments..... fitness will win you a high school championship.

HMMMMMM this sounds like someone I know!!!!!!!! Fitness ???? Please thate your personal preference..... you cant " will " that! Defence, coaching, injuries, are the big three in championships!
