P.S. I seem to remember one of those slow centers dispossessed AO three or four times. It's not always about foot speed.

She’s able to score in a variety of ways. She’s difficult to stop. But I think we have many people who are capable of scoring.’’

CC-Matignon
Just my observation watching CC play Matignon twice. I fully expected CC to crush Matignon, but surprisingly CC led only 3-2 15 mins into the second half of the 1st game and then scored 4 straight goals when matignon pressed. In the second game it was tied with a minute to go when CC scored the game winner. Now, I understand sports. I know CC didn't approach these game like they would have a league rival or a top tier team but I have to say aside from their physical statures I didn't see anything too frightening if I was a top Div 1 team. Matignon is a very good div 3 team that has played a tough schedule and won't be in the tournament which annoys some because teams like Shawsheen play NOBODY and strut into the tourney like they have actually accomplished something. CC will be a second round casualty.....just my 2 cents.

Peaking at the right time
AB looked strong and LS not so much. Didn't look like a 12-0 team in the much vaunted DCL. This was the first DCL game I have attended all season and neither team looked like a category killer. AB much more physical and appeared to want to win. LS almost looked like they were just going through the motions, no intensity and no midfield which was supposed to be their strength. Both team had reasonable attacking opportunities but not a lot of them. Both defenses looked shaky at best.
Andover will cruise through D-1 North. Even if AB is finally hitting its stride they don't seem to have what it takes to go far in the post season this year. Unless LS just had a bad game they won't last much longer than AB. A lot will depend on the draw and in theory Westford could show well like they did last year. I have seen CC play and defense wins tournaments and they are a bit lacking in that respect.
Good luck everybody. The real season is right around he corner.
