The last AB goal was actually off a corner, scrum where their soph center defender knocked it in after some mayhem in the box.

The senior is leading the team in points no? Preseason predictions were that she'd break earlier scoring records. She's very good on headers.

AB seems like they could still be a contender in Division 1 this year. Despite their losses earlier in the season, this team has improved a lot as shown by their 4-0 win over C-C last night. It will be interesting to see what they can bring against LS on Monday. I was not expecting what I saw last night against C-C.

Wasn't at the game, but Dartmouth just squeaked by a winless New Bedford team....so my guess is yes.

The outcome was quite a shock as this is not the AB of years past; they are very limited when it comes to high quality talent. This was not the CC that went into Acton last time, they were over confident and very flat. None of the AB goals came from quality ball movement or working the ball up field. looking at their lineup AB was very lucky to secure the win. Up front they have a very fast track star that worked very hard, receive two over the top balls and converted them to goals one on one with the keeper. Their smaller forward was very talented but was having trouble matching up against the larger defenders. The tall forward has a dreadful first touch, had trouble controlling the ball and was constantly walking. The mid field was their biggest problem, the two outside midfielders had trouble receiving the ball and moving it forward. They looked dazed and confused in the midfield except for the center midfielder; all the balls that weren’t over the top went thru her. She started the scoring with a long distance rocket shot that snuck under the bar over the keepers head. The defense was their strongest position, the centers were very slow but their outside backs were very quick, talented and had good movement on and off the ball. The small outside back saved the center back on her side multiple times when the CC forwards beat her. The keeper was solid though she was never really challenged all night. They have no bench when the subs came in none of them had any impact and actually the ball movement turned in CC’s favor giving them the only real challenges of the match. Their coach is a noice fellow, but has trouble adjusting to the match he is given when it doesn’t conform to the plan he came in with.
So I was a little surprised to see the AB supporters come on here thumping their chests and arguing over who scored the scrum goal when your team was generally flat and full of holes. I don’t see AB doing much against LS on Monday and don’t see them as much of a threat in the D1 north come tournament. It will be nice for CC to get a game like this put behind them before the tournament starts.

The Globe top 20 is pretty ridiculous. Do they even take into account people's strength of schedule?
