Yes I believe Weston are the only D3 team in the DCL.
Does anyone know why the dcl stats are not on the globe website?
Are Bedford and Wayland the only D2 teams in the DCL?

For me a full graduation cycle is every 4 years, so two cycles would be eight. Therefore no one from the first year would have played with anybody from the last year. Heer is a post I had from Oct. 9, 2009, I have tried to update the records to reflect up to the 2010:
Here are the top teams showing final four appearances, times in the finals and North Regional Championships:
Team semi-finals app ---. finals app. --- champs
Danvers 10 6 4
Newton N 6 5 3
Winchester 8 3 0
Andover 5 1 1
Lincoln Sud 5 2 1
Belmont 6 5 4
A/B 6 3 2
Fenwick 3 3 2
Masco 4 3 0
Arlington 3 1 1
Others are Wakefield (3) Lexington, Westford, Framingham, North Andover and Swampscott with two apperances and Cambridge, Peabody, Central Catholic, Billerica and Saugus with one. Lincoln Sudbury and Masco made appearnces as both D1 and D2 teams. This list is a whos who of youth soccer success. They are also hot-beds of club soccer.
Here is a little more history on the the North D1 and D2 tourney. Since 2000, four teams have qualified for the tourney all eleven years (Winchester, Danvers, Peabody and Belmont) A/B, has qualified 10 of 11 years; Westford 9 of 11 and Framingham and L/S 8 of 11.

By my count, L-S had only one year in that cycle that they did not qualify, so it's 10 of 11.

A/B also won the North 3 times. I am pretty sure they were in the state tournament finals 3 times. 2008, 2009 and 2010. That means they must have won the North finals, no?

Originally posted by HS Harry View Posthere is my Top 5 in D1 North:
1. Andover, I have them by a hair over L/S only because of there better "quality" wins over Winchetster and Central Catholic. In past years I would have never considered a MVC team for a top spot, but last year's D1 title by CC has changed that. I'm not sure that they are the best team in the North (or most likely to win a North Title) but for right now they remain my numero uno.
2. Lincoln-Sudbury. I have yet to see them play, but have seen enough of the DCL to know the league is down a little this year. By all accounts this is a great team and certainly will be a favorite come tourney time. I appreciate and understand the arguments as to why they should be #1 (and I can't disagree) but they will need to keep winning (and get a loss by Andover) to get my top spot.
3. Peabody. Despite some pf the foolishness posted previously, Peabody has the best offensive player in the state. I rechecked about the Peabody/ A.B. game and was told that her game winner was exactly why she (and Peabody) is soo dangerous. Peabody's problem is a poor schedule but their core is very experienced and they have enough talent around the field to succeed in the tournament.
4. Central Catholic, They are the defending champ, only lost one game and have plenty of talent... end of story.
5. Newton North, can't get a good idea how bad (or just balanced) the Bay State is this year. NN's loss to Natick shows they have holes but in a pretty wide open D1 North they will be a solid contender. Games against teams like Weymouth Dedham (and Needham) are typically excellent preps for the tourney, even if not the fire-storm of competition that the BS has been in year's past.
Others? keep an eye on Lexington as my 5A pick. Winchester has been OK. Beverly has dropped now that they faced better talent.
D2 is a mess. Hard to rule out the traditional powers like Danvers and Belmont, although both will likely enter the tourney with at least 4 losses. Tewksbury has been good, but in their first game against a good opponent they were beaten, so I'm not ready to annoint them as a favorite. Stoneham has been really good, but they too have some blemishes in the Midd. Same goes for Wilmington. Personally, I think the Cape Ann is way down so teams like Newburyport and Amesbury are question marks. Fenwick has struggled offensively and will enter the tourney as a lower seed, so although I think they are dangerous, they will have to damage from the lower half of a bracket.
Biggest disapointments so far? In D1 A/B is obvious, they are a solid team but it has been a big drop for the Colonials. Masco and Westwood have also disapointed some. In D2 I'd say that Hamilton Wenham and Gloucester expected much more.

Regarding individual players, they very likely have their fair share of top club players (as typically do AB, Westford, Weston). This area of the western suburbs is a hotbed of talent. To not have players on the "leader board" may be more of a testament to the true talent level on the team and the apparent style with which they play (sounds like possession rather than the dreaded kick and run). Leader board players tend to be individualistic players with limited competition within their own ranks, but that only makes them the best player on their team and doesn't necessarily translate into best player in the league, state, country, world as some parents would have you believe. Concerns about a lack of LS articles is intriguing (be careful what you wish for Mom) and would more than likely help rather than hurt them come tournament time. If they don't have a single player that can hurt you, but rather a whole team, how would a typical HS coach outside the DCL prepare for them?
As a soccer purest I am more excited about the goals against than a high scoring striker. 1-0 or 6-0 earns the same number of points...

The post about North tournament performance comes from an original post back in 2007. I updated in 2009 and will look to update entirely again before this year's tournament. I won't disagree with O3, she is certainly the best source of info about L-S! Teams like L-S, Westford, Central Catholic, Concord-Carlilse and North Andover pose particular difficulty because they have risen from D2 to D1 since 2000. Further hindering the provision of info is the fact that it is very difficult to get MIAA tourney results prior to 2006.
It took some effort back in 2007 to collect that info, and like the game operator, it could have been altered a little each time it is repeated. I seem to remember a year back in the early 2000s that Westford didn't make the then D2 tourney. However, I'm not sure I lookd that closely because the fact is that although Westford has been a solid program, up until last year I believe they have had little success in the tourney - and I was looking at the seven/eight programs that had dominated the North Tournament. Look at it this way, A/B, Newton North, Danvers and Belmont have won about 3/4 of the D1 and D2 tourneys since 2000.
