This year Nipmuc outplayed them and lost 3-2 when the 4ft tall kid hit a floater from 25 yds that the goalie misread and any youth goalie would have caught so don't get your hopes up. The cmass newcomer Tyngsboro will win Div 3 this year, they are 8-0.

That is also a weak arguement as to why not many of them play in college. Simple fact is they are not all that great.

The ignorance of the above posters in incredible. Go to ESPN and check the top ranked team in the country. Guess how many D1 commits they have. Two. But no that means that they are bad... come on people act like adults and use some logic. Teams win games because they play like a team. If this wasn't the case then maybe Leominster would have beaten Gonk in the CMASS final last year. I'm sure that they had more skilled players but they don't play like a team. Many of the kids that are on the Algonquin team have been playing fall, winter and spring soccer together since they were 8 or 9. They are good because they know each other and play like a team, not because they have the most D1 commits.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostI understand your point. Algonquin produces a lot of good, not great soccer players. That wins Cmass championships. I see three players on ESPN from MA with Div 1 commits, from Southboro, N Andover, and Attleboro. That sounds like 1 commit for you. Who is #2? JS? Haven't seen anything on that yet.
