Were Nipmuc in D1, you would have no district championships to show either, guaranteed. So let's see how this year goes. GD's offense was too young the past two years, and NP their all state star and top forward in 2009, went out early with an injury in that Nipmuc game. Let's see if you can stop him this year.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostWhen the decision was made GD had about 350 boys which everyone agreed was well within Div2 guidelines. But GD has just participated in three consecutive state championship games, winning 2. There was a feeling that GD was too good for that level of competition and needed to be moved up. Perhaps that should be considered for a private school, but GD is a regular public school. So we were moved up to MidWachB, but ALL of GD's programs were left in D2 except soccer, which went to Div1. How does that make sense? (When does Bromfield get moved to Div2 in soccer?) Our AD resigned in protest. And when Coach Nyman, the 30+ year GD soccer veteran, retired several years later (see the Boston Globe article on that), an MIAA official came and publicly apologized for that mistake. That considered, we did our best, battling Marlboro hard and making it relatively far in D1. But the big three, Algonquin, Marlboro, and St John's, were always ahead of us, with populations 2-3 times bigger. That's over; the mistake has been corrected and let's see how this year goes.

They are a bunch of talented kids who work hard. Leave them alone. A monkey could be there coach cuz there is no coaching. The coach is there for one reason and one reason only. He shouldn't be there period!
