When the roster is published everyone will realize that this was not a team built by skill but a team built by a couple of over the top soccer moms. It is not going to be the grat talented team that some people think. This team is going to turn into a running joke.

You are correct about it's construction and it eventually becoming a joke as Stars beats them and steals the good 3-4 players they have, but it will be a very, very strong team, probably right behind the real Stars and NEFC, after that eh U12G group gets weak in a hurray.

You are giving them to much credit. There are a couple good players over there when they share the ball and not have bad attitudes. All of the parents there think their kid is a striker or forward. Already having parents complain that their kids spot is duplicated many times over. There are none of the girls willing to do the hard work. just want the glory. This will not be that good of a team and who will really know, they are in the NEP. If they even try to play in the top grouping at Stars Cup they will be embarrassed, if they are not put in the top grouping then they will know that they are just a bill paying team and a foot in the door for JD. Either way, just what they deserve.

I know most roster spots were spoken for even before tryouts, but I hope RL has room for one more striker as Casey Anthony is now available. I'm sure she can obtain an age appropriate u-13 birth certificate. Even after the emotion of her trial, one can only hope she can handle the drama; backstabbing; deceit that will surely land in the world of the "stars family". Best of luck. OJ.

I understand there are about 9-10 WU players and just about the same of Pioneer players on the SW A team roster. Since they were both bottom of the table Maple teams last season can RL take that level of "success" and turn it into a State Cup champion? Rumor is he also got back the regional pool level player that use to be on the WU u12 team and then moved up to U13 because she was so good? That might help.

And trust me the "Real Stars" will take the better players. Just ask anyone on RL's U-15 (rising U-16 team) Stars took the regional player (after RL assured all the parents of the west team she would be double rostered and would play state cup with the west team) and has now taken thier only keeper. (again, assuring everyone of double rostering and playing for west just like the regional player was supossed to). Since both teams (west and stars) go to most of the same tournaments how do you think he is going to double roster his keeper (like NEWSS for instance)? You may get one good season out of the team before is is taken apart.

I heard of inappropriate recruiting of the u-13 goalie- waiving fees; promising equipment purchase stipend....... No i was not a fly on the wall nor did I have a wire tap or grand jury testimony...... Yes I understand anyone can make up anything.. Just saying that's what I heard

Hats off to RL for develping what appears to be a Western Mass powerhouse soccer team. Congrats to the girls who were selected; and to the parents who bellied up to the punch bowl and "drank the koolaid". Remember -everyone believed and loved Bernie Madoff.

Bernie made people a ton of cash for many years.. Stars will loot this team of all talent next season. World domination this year or never.. Good Luck

It was a JOKE! Obviously you missed a similar request (please don't mention players names) made by another poster after someone mentioned Abby Wambach in the Stars tryout thread.
