For the 538th time, NOT ALL COMMITTED PLAYERS HAVE/WILL PUBLICLY ANNOUNCE THEIR COLLEGE DESTINATIONS.

And for the 426th time, D2 AND D3 COLLEGE CHOICES ARE NOT A FAILURE.

Stop being such an ignorant jerk.

Don't underestimate the impact club coaches can have on a player's recruiting success. What are the Revs and Bolts coaches doing to promote their players?

The answer is in the number of commits.

And let's not forget that some of these "commits" committed long before playing for either one of the DAP teams

So the number of recruits may may be more a reflection of the lack of true commitment on the part of the DAP coaches to help in the process than the talent level in MA.

How ironic that those of you that dismiss DAP are the ones that can't seem to stop talking about it. You have an unhealthy obsession with a program you claim to want no part of.

Good luck to all of them and congratulations for continuing their careers in college.
you are so out of touch buddy, if a kid is going d1, he wouldn't announce due to his fear of being made fun of on an insignificant blog like talking socccer? keep dreaming, there's only 9 d1 kids so far and doubt there will be many more. maybe a few will appear on a d1 roster in the fall as basically unrecruited practice players. when colleges start announce their classes in feb and march you will see how ignorant and pathetic you truly are.

i feel bad for players that have to go through the recruiting process with ignorant parents like you who don't know the first thing about how recruiting works.

I know several 2011s that are going to very strong academic/decently strong D3 soccer programs that have not posted and probably will not post. A few more Non-DAP than DAP. Academics was always the priority, which would explain the lack of need/desire to post here or ESPN Rise.

The families/boys are more concerned with where they will be in 4 years from a career standpoint than the "glory days of playing D1." Believe it or not some said no thanks to D1 offers (including scholarship $) because you go to college to prepare for your future not to play soccer.

Unfortunately the soccerheads who dominate this forum really, really don't want to think about a player turning down an academically inferior/soccer superior D1 for some crumbly little program at MIT or something. These are not good thoughts for this crew. But for the boys whose soccer skills helped them get into terrific colleges, congratulations! You are the real success stories on these boards. Enjoy college, enjoy your soccer, and good luck with the promising future that awaits you when it's all done.

You're right; and those who can, do both - and how cool is that!

I can assure you that 99.9% of the kids in this category DID NOT turn down elite D1 programs -- meaning academically and athletically elite. They are playing D3 because they found the best fit, which is what most of us should be doing (but without having to explain or apologize or justify it in some way that really ends up being false).

Several? Can you list the club and number of players per? No player names are needed.

You're right. Those, however, with a "best fit" at both a top academic and soccer school will go there. Unless, of course, the "fit" isn't as good as believed. In which case, one hopes good judgment prevails and the best "fit" rises to the top.
