Why do you think this is down to the DAP coaches? The kids and families are the ones making the decisions on colleges. Or, are is this just another misguided attempt to grasp at something else to hammer DAP/Bolts for?

Here is evidence that kids need something to occupoy their time on snow days.

Hey pal: Hit a book and do some studying. That way, when you get to college, you won't flunk out.

What is the point of this silly post? I just read through 50 odd pages in this thread and I don't see where anyone claimed kids from non DAP teams wouldn't get into colleges.

first learn how to spell "occupoy." i've spent years studying, even on snowdays, which allowed me to get into a great college. Since I didn't flunk out of college, but rather got a degree, I make a lottttt of $, prob more than you will ever make. now go away and try not to be a total idiot when it comes to soccer and the recruiting process.

here is the problem with the people on this forum.

You anonymous. So are the people you are attempting to bully. You don't know the first thing about who they are, what they do, or how much they make. So you can't say with any certainty that you would make more than the other person ever will. Unless you are roaming the halls of your middle school stealing lunch money.

After reading your post, I went back and looked at some of the previous posts. When it comes to knowing about the actual recruiting process, you would appear to be the total idiot.

What level of D1? Top 50? Top 150? Bottom 75? And would your son have been an impact player at the D1 school(s)? And what level academically for D1s?

different poster, what d1 did your son turn down, a walk on spot at central conn st? be real, no player that has a d1 scholarship and is going to be an impact player is going to turn down a d1 offer to play d3, especially if they are going to have no financial aide at the d3, even if it is a nescac. unless money isn's an issue

It was an honest question. I'm sure people are curious to know what the comparables are if kids are turning down D1 offers, with or without money, for D3 options. I'm assuming that the majority of folks would make the same choice if the choice is a less attractive D1 vs "a top D3." Seriously, are we talking Duke or UVA vs Bowdoin or Middlebury OR Hofstra, Drexel, or Hartford vs Bowdoin or Middlebury. I also would be very surprised to hear if a kid who was projected to be a real impact player at D1 Bucknell, Lehigh, or Colgate instead chose a NESCAC or similarly elite D3 school. If you're going to brag about your kid making a D3 choice over a D1, which is what you did, then give us a clue about whether it was really a close call or a no-brainer.

Humans have evolved, but you apparently have been left behind.

There are a number of factors that would lead one to turn down a D1 offer. Location, size, degree offerings, play time, number of players already in that position, etc. And maybe money isn't an issue. Whatever the reasons, you don't know the kid, the family, the situation, or the factors that were important to them in the decision making process. And whatever the reasons, they are absolutely none of your business.

So please take your ignorant "D1 or bust" mentality and crawl back into your cave.
