I read try-outs for this team is tomorrow. I wonder if they will get any players from different clubs showing up?

There is room on this team for other players. If he cuts any, I would say that would determine how many players show up tomorrow.

I guess I'm not convinced it's ideal to put U12's (talented as they may be) up against true U13 sides from Stars, Scorps, Aztec, Western and so on. Seems to me that physical differences at this stage are just a lot more significant than you encounter when a U10 team plays up at U11, for example.
Anybody disagree?

I have never like entire teams playing up just for that reason. These teams might be more skilled but the game as 4 aspects. Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psycological. These teams playing up usually lacking in 2 or 3 of these areas. Several of the players on NEFC BB team look like they might weigh 70 lbs. My daughter is a small U13 player this year and she weigh 100 lbs compared to a couple of players on her team that were over 5'6'' and 130 lbs. I will agree that the referees call the came differently for the smaller players.
I did enjoy how the referee called the Stars vs Scorpions game. The referee allowed a lot of physical play. I did not see any dirty play but just some good strong tackles and physical play from both sides.
I wish the teams that play up luck and that none of the players get hurt. I hope these coaches and parents think before doing this because I know that some coaches will not hold back on them physically next year.
Good luck to everybody at tryouts and I hope your daughters do well.
