I read try-outs for this team is tomorrow. I wonder if they will get any players from different clubs showing up?

They certainly will get players to turnout. How many have a realistic chance of making this team? I'm guessing his team stays pretty much the same. You could certainly build a pretty good second team however.

There are at least 3 very weak players on this team that should be cut. Will BB actually make the cuts???

Rumor has it that 4-5 players from the South Shore will be showing up.

There is room on this team for other players. If he cuts any, I would say that would determine how many players show up tomorrow.

Any particular club ? The south shore is pretty big. Good luck to all the girls during try outs.

Hopefully the girls were told where they stood on this team so they could tryout elsewhere if necessary. Rumor has it he has already replaced several players before tryouts.

I laugh in your general direction. Stars JD can play Stars TP (current u12 champ) every week to prepare. BB has nothing. I'd take the teams that can practice against 2 division 1 teams (Stars JW ) up a year to be more prepared by a long shot. BB has nothing to look forward to
                      but losses.

Not taking anything away from either JD Stars or BB Arsenal, but I am interested what the other U13 coaches and players will think when playing against these younger teams? As anyone who has raised girls knows, the U13 year is really defined by the growth spurt that occurs with girls at this age.

I guess I'm not convinced it's ideal to put U12's (talented as they may be) up against true U13 sides from Stars, Scorps, Aztec, Western and so on. Seems to me that physical differences at this stage are just a lot more significant than you encounter when a U10 team plays up at U11, for example.

                        Anybody disagree?

My daughter is a year older and has played Arsenal many times over the past 2 years. The size has been an issue for the older teams as it seems the calls always go to the smaller player when it gets physical, rightly or wrongly.

I have never like entire teams playing up just for that reason. These teams might be more skilled but the game as 4 aspects. Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psycological. These teams playing up usually lacking in 2 or 3 of these areas. Several of the players on NEFC BB team look like they might weigh 70 lbs. My daughter is a small U13 player this year and she weigh 100 lbs compared to a couple of players on her team that were over 5'6'' and 130 lbs. I will agree that the referees call the came differently for the smaller players.

I did enjoy how the referee called the Stars vs Scorpions game. The referee allowed a lot of physical play. I did not see any dirty play but just some good strong tackles and physical play from both sides.

I wish the teams that play up luck and that none of the players get hurt. I hope these coaches and parents think before doing this because I know that some coaches will not hold back on them physically next year.

Good luck to everybody at tryouts and I hope your daughters do well.
