Re: FCGB Names New Director of Girls Programs

The new DOC clearly has a big rebuilding effort ahead. Too bad they didn't bring in coaches with more experience for the rising U16s. I wouldn't want my kid to be coached by a newbie coach at this age.

Anonymous guest made a good point to anonymous guest. The rising U15 Bolts will be negatively impacted by losing two national pool players to the Revs. Not the end of the world, but certainly a challenge for FCGB.
More devastating will be the loss of more than half the team to Okaroh's Blazers.

As long as the Bolts defenders take that attitude, then the club should expect to see a continual decline. When they can accept the responsibility for the direction of the club, both good and bad, then we may see a turn around.

Yes, and we can see where that got them. How many D1 clubs do they have now on the girls' side?

Oh, wait a minute--you're just throwing gasoline on the fire, aren't you? ;)
You could always go play for the Stars or Scorpions if D1 is your measuting stick. You'd raise the collective IQ of both clubs.

FO will lose as many players as he is taking. His act is beginning to wear thin......

You mean Scorps B team or Stars C team, right? If you want to play D1 could also try Aztecs or Inter or Bruno or Eagels or Crusaders or Fuller.....

Do either of these players have a coaching license? Nothing against these two young women, but they may be a little wet behind the ears to take over coaching a U-16 girls team. That's a lot of money to pay for such inexperience.

Sound like solid players but do they have any coaching experience? Coaching license?

There is something to be said for young women to be coached by females. There aren't enough female coaches around.

Can't argue with that but I'd still rather have an experienced coach for my child at U16.

A better strategy would have been to hire an experienced male or female coach and hire the newbie coach as an assistant. If the DOC was truly serious about bringing a team to the next level, he wouldn't hire a first time coach.

Agree on both counts. Not enough experienced female coaches around, either. Losing Tracy Kerr hurt the Bolts, despite what some posters think.

OK. You win. The new DOC isn't serious. He will have no effect on the club. He is a useless oaf who couldn't administrate or coach his way out of a wet paper bag.

Now would you please take you hatred and bashing somewhere else.
