No. The problem is you hate mongers who want to trash players, coaches, and clubs years later.

    Absolutely shameful and pathetic.

Sorry, I'm not a hate monger of the bolts. It was an honest question that was not hateful in any way. The team could have been a top team and you most ask why it's not now. My child chose another D1 team because of these rumors. The team is still at the top and the bolts are where? Oh, that's right MASC! So, maybe the problem is the coach and the parents who think it's always a sunny day at Harvard.

So, the team was really U11 or U10 at the time? Maybe the coach cared more about development. And so your child chose another D1 team? You mean a team with a different color, like orange?

Didn't the GU13 Bolts win a MAPLE D spot in the qualifying tournament?

Saying you're not a hate monger doesn't make it so, especially when your posts read otherwise.....

Your daughter went elsewhere a few years ago, and is doing well. Yet you want to harp on negative things you "heard" years later that have absolutely no affect on you.

I'd call call that hate mongering.

There are lessons to learn in this thread. Is anybody listening? Probably not those that should.

only 3 new players came in this year and if you are one of the three you can stick it out.
if not and you were there before why have you not left earlier?
maybe the problem is on your side. quite common actually.
OK, help me out here: who is "that team"?

It was just a comment on rumors heard. It doesn't matter what team she is on now or that the team was in blue not orange. We thought the bolts had a good club and team other wise we would not have been at tryouts. Why did the team go down to D or MASC is the question. You have to put the blame on someone and not the players. We just thought it was a shame to see them drop. It was not a hateful comment because it's always sad for MA soccer when a club goes into a decline. It is the same for Fuller or CRU or any other club that has been part of this crazy soccer world. Good Luck!

Do you have to put the blame on someone else and "not the players" ?
why are the players excluded from this? coaches do not play/parents certainly
can't so if a team get relegated it must be the club? or the coach?
you seem to easily exclude so many other variables as to why youth teams do well or
poorly. Commitment to training, discipline to the correct methods of training, combining
winning/loosing in order to develop players and not win at all cost, parental influence into the
                    players fourth component(mental game) etc.
Poor coaching does play a role but it is so hard for us parents to accept that our
"exceptionally talented" offsprings may not be as good as we think that we look at everything else
as a primary reason of the failure we cant be associated with.
you sound like the song "it wasn't me". But we know better...

Best of luck to the new DOC. If he is as committed as you say, the club will have an excellent chance to come back on the girls side. It will take many years of committment to get there (look at Stars, Scorps, MPS) but it can be done.
Good for the present U10 players but not good for U14s and up, unless you want to stick it out and wait for change to process.

So if my kid is 13, her team will have "an excellent chance" when they are 17?

Maybe things are turning around for the Bolts? They have earned a U13 D1 spot for the fall and the U13's avoiding relegation out of MAPLE so will stay in MAPLE D.

Anyone know how the GU15 team did in the 2nd promo/releg game today?
