Stars 16s lost to Va. in a shootout. 7th PK I think.

The other posts here from the girl parents illustrate why - the mentality up here is just too stupid to build the best teams.
Pretty dumb comment. The reason that clubs like PDA and Bays tend to do better than Mass has to do with population density and it relates to the coaching available not to the pool of players, although particularly on the boys side you will have a bigger pool f players coming from a soccer background too which relates to an almost at birth immersion into the sport.

This has nothing to do with liberals vs. conservatives, which seems to be the only way you see the world. Please take it to the politics thread or better yet, send it to /dev/null.

Probably the most ironic and funniest part of all of this is for all the talking about the Stars girls teams, the NEFC Man-Child team and the U15 NEFC team, the Scorps, Stars and NEFC bashing is that the Stars BU17 team flies under the radar and is in the regional final. This is not the coaches first trip this far into the tournament. Never ever here his name mentioned.

I can't understand any of this bashing?
Congrats to all these teams for getting this far in the season! Their hard work has paid off.
Nice Job to all, Good Luck to the remaining MA teams in the finals tommorrow!

They played McLean (VA) Strikers coached by Clyde Watson. He won the U16 National Championship three years ago with McLean Freedom.

Although not a big fan of the coach. have tip your hat to the scorps u15g. I hope the girls get the credit they deserve and not the "its all about me" coach FM. good luck in the finals

Sounds like another dumb person who doesn't read people very well, and can't free himself from ignorant stereotypes.

But if you look at the boys clubs at regionals at U16 and above, they are all 2nd string (as the Stars is on the boys side). Evidently, the top tier is in DAP and not in the state and regional tournaments anymore.

It's quite simple really. Here's all you need to know to help you understand:

If my kid is on a team/with a club, that team/club is the best and you are a moron if your kid is not on that team/with that club. In fact, your kid is a loser and your life has no meaning.

If my kid is not at a championship event, then it is by choice because that event is beneath us. If your kid has chosen to go, you are a loser for going (and your life has no meaning). Because of that, we hope and expect you to fail. Rest assured that if we had chosen to go, we would be so far ahead that the rest of the teams would refuse to show up out of fear.

fact check - PDA is in central New Jersey, the New Brunswick area. The area has a number of population centers but also a lot of farms (grew up there). It's no denser than eastern MA for sure.

Baltimore county, MD (pop 785,000), Middlesex county, MA (pop 1,500,000).

population density doesn't explain it. try again.
