You think it's worthwhile playing bad competition on bad fields? BTW this has zilch to do with parenting. It has to do with comparing the benefits to the cost and the costs are pretty great especially to those who's season will continue in Seattle which is exactly why a number of teams didn't go and why a number who are there won't be back again next year.

A post like this is what makes this forum a joke - the assumption that everyone else knows more then we do here in Mass. It's no different here then anywhere else. Try and spend a few of YOUR minutes doing a little research before posting such an asinine post.

Forget Brazil this is USA and we do things here the only way that matters:money in our pockets
Unfortunately you do have a point. Parents, like the guy whose son was a LL champ, want those UYoung trophies and are willing to pay for it and FM and JD are able to deliver.

            Mass Boys

and in the end, only one Mass team remains in contention; Stars U17
The NEFC U13B team, with the man-child, lost to the Baltimore Bays 5-0.
I'd like to hear the story about that one. Here are the following thoughts:
            1. The man-child was red-carded and didn't play
            2. The man-child was injured and couldn't play
            3. The BAYS found a more effective way to prevent him from being a factor (Bravo to the BAYS)
            4. The BAYS have their own man-children who play defense.

            I am hoping for #3
Their has to be some explanation for a team that hasn't lost since last summer (including Region 1, MAPLE, and tournaments) would go down 5-0.

I'm betting the Bays have, not one, but a few man-children of their own.

It's not an assumption. It's based on years of posts in forums like this, and listening to the garbage that pours out of the mouths of parents on the sidelines. You need to get out more. There's a whole world out there beyond the intersection of the Mass Turnpike and route 495.

Sorry if the posts hits home, but your reaction suggests that I have struck a nerve. If you aren't going to like what you see, I suggest you not look in a mirror..

Here's your explanation: The Bays were a better team on the day.

Thank God we don't have to hear any more stupid NEFC dominance boasting from the blowhard parents.

Believe me when I say, I have been out there. Across the continental United States as a matter of fact. People are no different in any other state unless you happen to be associated with an ethnic minority who comes from a soccer culture. Even then you'll find many who are stuck in the "old ways of the old country" when it comes to youth development. It takes someone with the desire to better themselves through education to see change in that respect.

Sweet, the news gets better every day. Stars who? How much did that trip to WV cost you to get spanked? I love it, tell us more.

I don't get the venom here.... Not that I'm a stars supporter, but in regional play, take the MA team..

The Bays are overall the top Region 1 club, alongside clubs like PDA. It would have been surprising if NEFC could top them, man-child or not. MA clubs - boys in particular - have little chance against the top region 1 clubs to the south. Last year, no MA team advanced to nationals. The other posts here from the girl parents illustrate why - the mentality up here is just too stupid to build the best teams.

Me either... I was at the U16 game and the Stars did not get 'spanked'. They were the better team in my opinion.
