See we can all throw stone's but did you notice I didn't start with the bs of " I know I''l get slammed" keep clapping those hands and enjoy the spring.

Are you saying he/she is just one individual with an ax to grind or do agree with his/her interpretation of how the Stars club and coach has handled this U14 team ?
It seems several other posters feel that he/she is right on with the criticism. You disagree or only interested in "outing" the poster ?

Why do you keep replying to your own post as if you are validating your own opinion? We all post unregistered so unless we are prepared to "out" oursleves we have no credability what so ever.
But its fun to "bash" people we don't like, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Is my daughter good enough to make the Stars U-14 C Team ?...Probably
Would she start ? ...Maybe....I would have to see there Spring lineup and see who is where.
Has she seen enough of the coach to not want to play for him ?... Yes
Have we as the ones writing the checks ?...Yes indeed.
Would she rather have playing time vs a Ma State Cup Championship? BIG YES
At U-14 playing time for a developing athlete is far more important than a trip to WVA to WATCH the NJ State Champion win again. And make no mistake, the bottom 1/3 of that team will not get any measurable time in R1PL or at regionals
Can (18-22) 14 year old girls who each week know that their playing time and position on the team is in jeopardy to the next great player or players developed elsewhere ... or maybe having a bad practice or having Suzie Superstar, their teammate, make then look bad ... co-exist and become a cohesive and supportive team ?
Remember, these are 14 year old girls and this team has had more then enough bad things written about how dsyfunctional GC lets it become. Bet he has a few midfielders right now that were recurited (one last year) that have no idea where there place is on this team now. Loved you yesterday, sux's to be you today doesn't build team unity....
Soccer is a team sport and 11 players, no matter how good, will have issues beating another good TEAM...and I do not see GC making this into any kind of cohesive team.
And those bottom 1/3 may turn into something when given some real playing time and support after they leave.
Look at the original Rovers, the Lunch Pail gang... no pure studs but that group would walk across hot coals for each other, GC's group will push each other on them to reclaim their spot on the team.
This is not a healthy environment for a 13 or 14 year old.
I guess it would be OK of 22 parents sold their soul to be there but they have sold their kids...
Oh, and mine is not for sale....
and please, no BS about her getting cut, not offered a slot, etc. She has never tried out for, been cut from, or after seeing this coach, had an interest in playing for this team.

To me, it simply comes across as someone who has either been in the Stars program and was rejected or was rejected outright at a try-out.
If this is not the case and the poster and his daughter has never been at a Stars training session, they I find it completely uninformative.
Making these observations from where and/or hearing them from who...

And this reveals you as being dumb as 2 by 4.
The original poster stated that their daughter was a maybe for making the team and/or starting. The daughter of this assn coach makes the team with ease but if nothing else I bet they fufill their commitment for at least the rest of the year, unlike their cousin who has been taught the value of "if your good enough you can screw your teammates"...there is a like lesson for ya !
And the coach that pressured you into making this mid-season decision is the new role model...Good luck with that

It has worked albeit with a lot of girls thrown by the wayside and a lot of families upset about the way their daughters are treated even as the continue with the team, and that includes some of the starters as well. For a long time this was accepted as being a part of the "top girls program" in the state. It looks like that level of blind devotion is starting to change though with better competition and some clubs getting teamsinto the top tournaments now. I am not saying the demise of the Stars is happening now, or this team will fall apart overnight. But as MPS continues to challenge for a serious #2 position as a girls club in this state and Aztecs and NEFC continue to move up and create space between them and the lower tiers of MAPLE clubs, there will be both a greater consolidation of talent in a handful of clubs and better competition accross those top 5 to 6 clubs. As that happens the Stars will lose their grip on building these superstar teams. It has already started to happen at some age groups in small numbers and there is a very clear 1 to 6 clubs that are head and shoulders above the 7 and lower teams and clubs.
