Thanks for that.
I know I'll get slammed for this but this is the thruth from our house.
Is my daughter good enough to make the Stars U-14 C Team ?...Probably
Would she start ? ...Maybe....I would have to see there Spring lineup and see who is where.
Has she seen enough of the coach to not want to play for him ?... Yes
Have we as the ones writing the checks ?...Yes indeed.
Would she rather have playing time vs a Ma State Cup Championship? BIG YES
At U-14 playing time for a developing athlete is far more important than a trip to WVA to WATCH the NJ State Champion win again. And make no mistake, the bottom 1/3 of that team will not get any measurable time in R1PL or at regionals
Can (18-22) 14 year old girls who each week know that their playing time and position on the team is in jeopardy to the next great player or players developed elsewhere ... or maybe having a bad practice or having Suzie Superstar, their teammate, make then look bad ... co-exist and become a cohesive and supportive team ?
Remember, these are 14 year old girls and this team has had more then enough bad things written about how dsyfunctional GC lets it become. Bet he has a few midfielders right now that were recurited (one last year) that have no idea where there place is on this team now. Loved you yesterday, sux's to be you today doesn't build team unity....
Soccer is a team sport and 11 players, no matter how good, will have issues beating another good TEAM...and I do not see GC making this into any kind of cohesive team.
And those bottom 1/3 may turn into something when given some real playing time and support after they leave.
Look at the original Rovers, the Lunch Pail gang... no pure studs but that group would walk across hot coals for each other, GC's group will push each other on them to reclaim their spot on the team.
This is not a healthy environment for a 13 or 14 year old.
I guess it would be OK of 22 parents sold their soul to be there but they have sold their kids...
Oh, and mine is not for sale....
and please, no BS about her getting cut, not offered a slot, etc. She has never tried out for, been cut from, or after seeing this coach, had an interest in playing for this team.

Come on people, the dust has really settled on here the past 24-36 hours... any new conspiracy theories? Any coaches getting fired because of bad hair cuts? Any parents leaving their DI kid wants to play MASC and run the show on those kids? Any new style of Nike or Adidas cleats out there manufactured by Massachusetts U14 girls? Anyone on HGH.... oooo HGH, now there's some steamy gossip. Who's on HGH? Someone out there knows someone on HGH. Just give us a hint, come on!
