I have no doubt that if he could find a way to bow out while saving face, he'd do it in a heartbeat. The GOP would love nothing better too because he's sinking the party. Given his age and physical health a "stroke" would be entirely believable and provide a way out that isn't political or rife with accusations of vote fraud etc

Of course, he'd be spotted on his golf course within a month after a "miraculous" recovery :)
