Why? Is it perhaps because they did not reach across the aisle and get republican support, similar as to when obama forced through obamacare and didnt even give Republicans time to read it, let alone input?

Trump is anti establishment. He is willing to negotiate and willing to go up against his party. Takes courage. Haven't seen many democrat leaders willing to display courage.
