I’m all for treating pre existing conditions but I have a serious question. Is it ok to drag the lower middle class down? That’s exactly what OCare does. Doesn’t affect the wealthy one bit. Democrats cry and cry but don’t have the foresight or sense to see how it affects others. Let’s do everything without worrying about the repercussions. I’m all for helping people, and prioritizing that help to those that need it. But not at the expense of someone else. That’s just silly.

I agree. Where's the Republican solution?
They had a chance to fix this and help the lower middle class.

Get a job and you wouldn’t have to worry about it.

Either way, the solution is not to have someone else subsidize the expensive insurance for the person with the pre existing condition. It is to work on lowering the cost of healthcare. Making in cheaper for all.

Just let the people with pre existing conditions die. That would make it cheaper for me.

Bezos, dimon and buffet will fix healthcare. Bernie would rather they bump the minimum wage at Amazon though. Fact is wealthy people are the only ones who can fix the problem at this point. Don’t take thier money so they have less to spend fixing the problem. Ie look at bill gates. Would you rather he spend his money on healthcare in poor countries or tax him more and give it to congress to spend. You think congress can fix anything. The whole lot of them couldn’t change a spare tire let alone solve a complex social issue.

We should just get rid of congress and hand over the country to the ultra wealthy, i agree.

And all of the above fits well with the majority of Americans especially the ones in the Red States.
It’s Estimated that by 2025 - 65 Million Americans will be enrolled in the ACA ( Obamacare)

It’s killing Republicans to know those numbers keep creeping up and very fast that 65 million may come a lot sooner.

We should also give guns to those with pre-existing conditions, so they can fend for themselves.

I didn't say it was perfect and it certainly isn't from an affordability standpoint. That's because it was a half-azzed bill written by insurance and big pharma and wasn't large enough in scale to bring own costs. Trump is making it even less affordable by cutting subsidies and trying to eliminate the mandate. If more drop out of the market then costs rise for those who are left. The only area where I agree with Trump on healthcare is to remove state barriers so that firms can compete across state lines. Here in CT we have few offerings so companies can name their price. If companies had to compete for our business with NY and MA firms it would be very different. However, this is one thing he could have enacted two years ago and has failed to do so. He's made no progress on healthcare whatsoever other than the gut the minimum coverage rules - so now you can buy a crap policy that covers nothing for less.

The GOP did a great job branding Obamacare and demonizing it. However, it turns out that many voters are supportive of it, either because they participate or because they finally learned about all the other changes that ACA brought like coverage for college kids, pre-existing conditions etc.

The fact that the wealthiest nation in the world lets people go bankrupt, even die, because they have the misfortune to get sick and can't afford treatment is unconscionable.
