My take is 1) yes Russia meddled but not directly with the campaign. Putin wanted to make sure HRC lost and DT was a very convenient candidate, but it was more about keeping HRC out than anything else. That said, 2) DT is very vulnerable because of dirt Russia has on Trump (financial). He can do them favors in other ways, like not following through on sanctions that were legally passed by Congress. 3) Firing Comey was obstruction of justice. 4) Trumps tax/financials are dirty 5) A GOP controlled Congress will do nothing about any of it.

And Russians were killed in Syria the other day by US Forces. Is that the payback to Putin ?

Lots of moral issues by lots of presidents that have happened while they sat in that chair (literally). Now we are projecting back a decade, and using that as some leverage point for today? Where were you over the last 50 years?

Some of you brag about how "Kennedy kept it quiet" (while in office), yet are all bound up when Trump paid someone off, i.e. kept it quiet (a decade ago).

Can't you grasp how hypocritical that is? What's hilarious is I cannot stand Trump, but the more your hypocrisy bleeds out the more I see what his base sees.

I only chose to go back a decade to make a point. You want to go back even further and dig up more dirt? Fine. Even more so in modern times because of the immediacy of access to and all the sources of information that is out there.

Since he controls the media he can spin the deaths anyway he wants, if Russians hear about it at all (Russians have no sense how many have died in Ukraine or the many other places Putin has sent in troops). However Putin does does very much care about geo-politics, money and saving his own hide. Russia's economy is in the shi**ter and his oligarchs aren't happy about being on the sanctions list. He's quite the chess master, playing a long game. Human capital doesn't matter to him.
