So weak:

1) Bush had nothing to do with the financial crisis. It was a combination of liberals like Barney Frank that wanted to provide more access to housing and loans for the poor and the major banks didn't keep track of the risk.

2) The Federal Reserve brought the economy back by focusing on the rich, zero interest rates and printing money.

3) Obama had no clue what to do. He spent his capital focusing on healthcare which eventually turned out to be more costly for everyone. He added $9trillion in debt despite the republicans reigning in that spending as much as they could. He did the opposite of what every CEO and small business wanted to turn the economy around hence the slow painful growth. Who did it impact the most? Besides most of the middle class and the poor, a huge swath of younger educated folks that had to work at Starbucks and live with their parents while their educations went to waste.

The roots of the 2008 meltdown go back tot eh Clinton Administration. And unbelievably , there is a renewed push by Progressives to once again base the ability to get a mortgage not on income, but on socio economic status. This was the coercion placed on banks that led to the run up in bad mortgages.

Obama added tremendously to the National Debt, and squandered almost a trillion dollars on a not ready for shovel time charade. Most of the $$ went to unions and cronies. That along with the billions lost on green energy projects, and QE, along with Cash for Clunkers and other gimmicks barely moved the GDP needle in a positive mode.

The economy is doing fine. The Fed is raising rates, and inflation is under control. Obama was printing money and giving it away, but there was a reluctance to borrow, a reluctance to spend and expand , and that was because of a lack of confidence. And that's the difference.

Despite what you say, the Canada Mexico deal is great for North America. It boosts wages and keeps manufacturing here instead of going overseas. Sure you can go line by line and find winners and losers, but that is true for any deal. Auto manufacturing is a small segment ?

Did you see the uptick in the market when the deal was announced? That's called confidence.

The Democrats do not have any effective strategy for trade, foreign policy and economic issues. All they have is resistance and Social Justice Warriors. We had 8 years of a stagnant economy under Obama. Just ask your self if you like what you are seeing, or would you like to go back to stagnation and little to no growth.

I am talking about the trillions that Obama ran up in 8 years. The National Debt.
You are talking about a budget deficit that goes year to year, which is not that as much of a concern as compared to the National Debt. The Chinese hold a lot of our debt thanks to Obama and his 8 years. Not to mention the 7 million added to Medicaid, the 10 million added to SNAP . Those two were created by Obama by changing the requirements.

America is on the move. Haven't you noticed ? We are , or close to , being the # 1 Oil producer in the world. Manufacturing is coming back. Confidence is up. GDP may be close to 4 % again. Why are Progressives against Americas economic advancement?
