Did not want to question Ford personally ... too scared of the cameras
Did not want to question Kavanaugh (they spent most of their time making political statements {how many questions did Graham actually ask Kavanaugh?}... and why didn't Grassley stop them?)

Although this wasn't a true legal proceeding , the burden of proof is still on the accuser. Our Justice system includes a presumption of innocence. He does not even have to defend allegations from whatever " closet " you make up. He has not been charged with any crime. There isn't an accusation of committing a Federal Crime for the FBI to investigate.

Additionally, even applying the legal standards for civil and criminal proceedings, her " testimony " yesterday didn't tip the scales of evidence in her favor, or take away any reasonable doubt that exists. Not even close.

The elephant in the room is that had Feinstein released the information when she received it, there would have been ample time to address the allegations. In deed as, Kavanaugh said, he was ready the next day for a hearing. Even that didn't happen for 10 days with the stalling and excuses. She had her say. She can't prove anything. That's pretty simple.
