Orin Hatch asked for and received a FB I investigation for Anita Hill (one accuser). Several witnesses were allowed to testify. Now there's multiple accusers, no investigation or other witnesses. Nope, there's nothing at all suspect about that.

The complaint was for a violation of Federal law while they were both employed by the US Government.

In the Kavanaugh issue, there has not been any accusation of violating any Federal crime. The FBI does not have any jurisdiction besides the 6 background checks they have already done.
The proper authority with jurisdiction would be where the alleged incident occurred.

Their biggest mistake was not calling for the FBI to come in last week. Transparency, especially with an issue that is so raw to so many women, would have gone a long way. Second biggest was no other witnesses. Again, they look like they're hiding something. The final nail on the GOP coffin will be voting on him tomorrow.
