That’s not true, there are two clubs that I know of that have these kind of guys on staff. And they know about it too. Sorry, this happens more often than you think and unless someone complains, they don’t let these guys go.

Arrest records for what - a bar fight? As a parent that's less of a concern but I'd ask questions. A club that hires anyone who had any kind of record with kids probably couldn't even get liability insurance.

So riddle me this TS posters: maybe a coach texted a 12 year old. Wss it clearly a mistake, human error? What was the text about? A practice notification or a "nice job today"? I don't know why an adult would have a 12 year olds (or any minors) info to begin with but that's me. If there was anything untoward wouldn't the family at a minimum demand he be fired? Have police investigate?

Clubs have to stay all over this stuff. That's why background checks are required for everyone even referees.
Problem is predators fly under the radar until actually caught

Some fly under the radar, some are given breaks by their friends and allowed to coach. It’s a different generation, kids have phones at younger ages. Kids give numbers out. Kids set up their own training sessions. Not hard to believe a coach would then obtain that kids number (if provided). Listen, im with you. Wish this stuff didn’t happen. But it’s a scary world out there and this stuff does happen and people turn a blind eye.

the coach in questioned was not allowed to go to CA and was moved away from coaching the older girls teams next year.
