Fall program is for those that cant affect their HS teams ..... although they will claim they are part of a poor program, the real reason is, there are no players capable of elevating it.

HS would be more appealing if colleges showed more interest in attending or paying attention to HS, but as we all know on this board the only way to college is through CFC ECNL. :) No one playing anything other than low level D3 got there without club influence/background. Skipping HS isn't for everyone, but other than for a few schools on both sides does nothing to increase the students options. All State - meaningless, All conference - even more meaningless. If you're town happens to be low level class 'S' or any division for that matter - it's just a filler to club season for those looking to go the the next level.

My kids all had/are having a great time with HS soccer. That's all I care about. I know it isn't the right fit for some players amd that some programs are terrible. Players have choices and are free to make them. Skip HS if you want, play if you want.

Their recruiting list is ok, a few players not listed anywhere. This graduating class was one of the early GDA entrants and got hit with Covid and an inability to move late in the recruiting game. Younger players will look different. Many of the state's better players are choosing ECNL, even if it means traveling out of state to do so, and some were former OW players

ECNL was requiring (at that time) carrying two teams per age group ECNL and NPL from ages U12 to U18. As a single location club they just didn't have the bandwidth to pull that off. Also, the ECNL wasn't as much of a powerhouse at that time.
