Right - GAL needs to dictate that it is a 7 month season and stop letting clubs make that decision because they screw each other and it wasall to not have to prorate fees.

GAL is not even a year old ... Was always intended to replace gdap and that is why they have adopted their crappy handbook and all of their rules including too many teams, absolutely no minimum bar, and a 10-month season. If any league was stupid enough to allow teams (or clubs) to decide when they want to play they will be out of business in less than a year .... Oh wait ... Maybe you are right.

You can't be everything to everybody. Pick one or the other. If they opt to allow HS they should develop something for kids who don't want to play HS. That can be their point of differentiation.

At this pace if GAL makes it to 2 years old that would be a minor miracle. Club after club jumping ship to ecnl after telling everyone with a straight face they are the top platform for girls in the country.

read page 3 of their GA frame work, GA never intended to be a 10 month season. flexibility to play HS soccer. RD and OW sold the girls team a bunch of BS.

It's impossible to allow HS for those who want it and play league games for those who want all year. OW learned that the hard way and other clubs that didn't do it knew up front it wasn't a viable plan. GAL has to decide on one or the other. They could offer some additional program during the HS season for players that don't want HS (at an incremental cost).

CIAC does not allow girls to play both HS soccer and club soccer during the same season

Yes we are all very aware of the rule. Other states do allow it or do with some limitations, but other NE clubs did not try to play during the HS season. Too many of their players wanted HS and it's physically and mentally impossible to do HS and club at the same time. Soccer 7 days a week is a recipe for disaster. It's also why most other league conferences don't play when their area has HS soccer. It's too much and more kids want to play for their schools than not.

It’s one foolish decision after another by the brain trust at OW. How do these guys stay in business?

Not the poster and I couldn't find much either...the framework document pg 12 just says all games must be played by June 1 and the precess for games postponements....pg 26 mentions the ability to move games around...

What is noticeably absent that was omnipresent in the old DA regs: DA regs outlined the HS restrictions in their section about player eligibility. GAL has no such discussion about HS of any kind. Makes you wonder what clubs tell players about it.

It's also a poorly designed, slow site with lots of meaningless platitudes

All that says is that they're revising the rules on HS play and substitutions, then there's nothing more about HS or a 7 vs 10 month season.
