Sporting + OW makes much more sense - Sporting is the lower level, OW the higher. FSA already has enough A B and C teams.

You can say a lot of bad things about Oakwood and I agree with some but dad coach EB is a great coach who does not favor anyone unless it is deserved.

Says the daddy coach. I have seen daddy coaches at OW giving their kids unearned time. Regardless, OW is done. Coaching quality seems lower than other clubs and all OW seems to have is a perception of quality that they once earned but long since lost.

OW is really done just by being in the GA....seems like a huuuge step down from even the DA days.

Just being there you can see the down fall happening. The lower parking lot is now unusable and the rest of the parking lot is falling apart you almost need an SUV to drive in and drop your kids off. I know folks have talked about the outhouse being gross it is beyond gross. Parents had to beg for the club to put 2 outhouses in they were going to go with just one. The field turf is in rough shape to say the least. The indoor space is still gross you can only put paint on mold for so long until you have to fix the issue. I am not saying they are going belly up but it sure does not look good at all. They can not get any teams to play in the indoor winter leagues when all other indoor spots have teams. Sad to see this happening as I have had a few kids go through and I do not think my youngest will make it all the way through. Wish them the best of luck.

Right? I'm replacing my MB every year instead of every 2 just because of the stone damage to the pain from OW. Not good.

As good as Sporting is, and at their price point they are very good, they don't have the resources to assume OW.

If the rumors are true, OW deserves everything that they are getting. They have burned so many bridges over the years.

They’ll be fine. Nobody played in the first session at oakwood anyway. OW vs OW almost every game. So not much lost there. They’ll continue to collect dues and all will go on. And you hopeless losers will post again in another 6 months how OW is folding. There’s a reason this thread gets so many comments and never ends. Because OW is going nowhere. Now FSA consistently sells our every session at their facility. They’ll be taking a bigger hit but they’ll survive too.
