Neither do their 16/17s (and still have no success):
http://oakw.ussoccerda.com/sam/teams...?team=11981728 (wow, 3/4 of roster new to OW last year or this year .... heard it before, but that is pretty surprising to have this much turnover, this far along)

on the girls' side, who many of the current U14s will want to give up HS next year? Especially and GHS girls now that they won another title?

how do they only try to develop a chosen few when the whole team practices together?
what do the 20 other kids do for the 1 1/2 while the "chosen few " are doing drills?

Ok, let's do this drill, chosen few I am watching you, offering corrections and giving specific instructions. Other kids going, oh I am talking to the assistant coach or other players and not paying attention.
Chosen few kicking ball away in game, turning over ball, not giving effort, never get subbed. Rest of team subbing out why chosen few play whole game.
Chosen few getting individual accolades from coach in emails even when team gets crushed and their play sucked, rest of team players never get accolades from coach even when they have a great game that directly resulted in a win. They just say that the team played good.
Chosen few you are fouling kids in practice like crazy, grabbing their arms, and even out right tackling them. Coach will never say anything. Rest of kids getting yelled at for anything.
Chosen few's parents know everything that is going on, coach updates them must be separate email chain or something. Rest of team, what the hell is going on, when do we play, what is the roster, getting info only a few days before event actually happens.
Chosen few, you play every game all game long and never get subbed. You play up, practice with other age groups and multiple games at ulittle. Rest of team, we need you to fill out the roster, be glad you get your 1 game per weekend and 1 or 2 shifts on field.
In short OW ensures the chosen few get many touches on the ball. The rest they don't give a **** about. Funny thing is the chosen kids aren't really that better than anyone else and a few are actually worse than most. It is hard to tell how those kids got to be the chosen few. It seems if they other kids got that many touches on the ball they would probably be better than their chosen ones.
So mr. poster aka OW coach, do you deny this happens????

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostSo, to paraphrase .... chosen few are encouraged no matter what they do, they play more often and far more frequently, and play up against even stronger competition that they can't handle at younger ages and throughout ... they are allowed to hit the 10k mark far quicker than the non-chosen. The problem is, is that mostly OW staff missed the mark and chose many of the wrong kids, holding back their peers that might have made it.

Coaches do that- and parents bitch about that
What sense does it make for a coach to play inferior players over better players?
What sense does it make for a club to lose games rather than win games?
Your whine isn’t something new and coaches playing studs more than cones isn’t new either
The fact that you just found this reality is only new to you

What happens when you change colors but that’s all that changes?
