What sense does it make for a coach to play inferior players over better players?
What sense does it make for a club to lose games rather than win games?
Your whine isn’t something new and coaches playing studs more than cones isn’t new either
The fact that you just found this reality is only new to you
its called development!!! how many players do you need to play? 11 on the field, why only develope 3-4 and ignore everyone else? have the studs try to play a game 4 v 11 and see how it goes.

Up to a certain point, all of the paying customers should get equal training and see what shakes out. You dont give 3 or 4 kids a ton extra for no cost and take away from other paying customers to do it. The funny part is that most of the time youth coaches are dead wrong and have wasted the resources and effort on the wrong kids who they later replace.

So in other words OW bought themselves time by playing up so many younger players. Got it.

In reality there aren't many kids anywhere that should play up. I know parents think it means their kid is great, but many times it's just to have a few extra sets of legs. Clubs that do it right will tell you that it isn't enough that a younger player is a top player on their age appropriate team but that they'd be a consistent starter and impact player on the older team as well. Those are the kids that should be playing up, at least in theory. Having a large number of younger players also isn't doing the older players any justice either.

Training absolutely should be equal. By U14 PT becomes a thing that is earned, not a right. I don't mean equal PT, but it should be meaningful and give players time to work in what they've learned in training. Token minutes to give starters a breather isn't enough.

Same with the U17s. They can't even fill a 16 player roster, let alone 18 that you'd like to have in the HS years.

I agree all should get the training that you pay for
Have never seen a club not give at least what was promised
                    Here is the variable
The drills are the same yet all kids don’t approach them the same and therefore don’t get the same result- development is on the kid as much as on the coach
How much work does each kid do on their own is also different?
If 2 kids take 100 reps
1 does them all at full speed and does her best
The other does 3/4 at full speed and tries her best
It doesn’t take the 1st kid that long to be whole practices ahead of the 2 Nd kid

Hello, you asked the question how they handle kids differently at the same training session. Nice try to spin it.

The main point is that OW losses when they play their chosen ones exclusively. There are few coaches there that try to develop all kids EQUALLY. It is ulittle don't you know??

Same OW team, same opponent, 2 different coaches and you know what happened? The coach who is the worst offender for playing chosen ones the whole game lost. Same team, same opponent another coach who plays kids equal they won.

As another poster pointed out OW talent identification sucks. This is why they have to get so many new kids. Their training is good but they only like goons who eat a lot of beef loaded with steroids and that run kids over, foul constantly and kick the ball really hard.

Yes they will preach connecting passes but they love kids that run around fouling everyone. Just go watch an indoor game. That is why we left. No sense having the kid there to get mauled at every practice and the coaches never say anything.

And it isn't the same everywhere at ulittle. Where we are now they play kids and develop them equally.

If the first kid gets training at their age practice, and the age above, plays games at their age (while 2nd kid is on bench most of game), plays game age above plus gets focused attention at all practices and games then how far ahead should player 1 be to player 2?

And if player 1 really isn't any better than player 2 after 2 or 3 years of this what does that say about OW talent ID of player 1?

                          I didn’t ask that question
                          Nobody cares about indoor

If player gets max game time playing up and player 2 can’t get on the field at her age appropriate level
Then there is no comparison between the 2
Player 1 is better and will always be better
