What sense does it make for a coach to play inferior players over better players?
What sense does it make for a club to lose games rather than win games?
Your whine isn’t something new and coaches playing studs more than cones isn’t new either
The fact that you just found this reality is only new to you

Have never seen a club not give at least what was promised
Here is the variable
The drills are the same yet all kids don’t approach them the same and therefore don’t get the same result- development is on the kid as much as on the coach
How much work does each kid do on their own is also different?
If 2 kids take 100 reps
1 does them all at full speed and does her best
The other does 3/4 at full speed and tries her best
It doesn’t take the 1st kid that long to be whole practices ahead of the 2 Nd kid

The main point is that OW losses when they play their chosen ones exclusively. There are few coaches there that try to develop all kids EQUALLY. It is ulittle don't you know??
Same OW team, same opponent, 2 different coaches and you know what happened? The coach who is the worst offender for playing chosen ones the whole game lost. Same team, same opponent another coach who plays kids equal they won.
As another poster pointed out OW talent identification sucks. This is why they have to get so many new kids. Their training is good but they only like goons who eat a lot of beef loaded with steroids and that run kids over, foul constantly and kick the ball really hard.
Yes they will preach connecting passes but they love kids that run around fouling everyone. Just go watch an indoor game. That is why we left. No sense having the kid there to get mauled at every practice and the coaches never say anything.
And it isn't the same everywhere at ulittle. Where we are now they play kids and develop them equally.

And if player 1 really isn't any better than player 2 after 2 or 3 years of this what does that say about OW talent ID of player 1?

Then there is no comparison between the 2
Player 1 is better and will always be better
On any club with any coach
