How come no CFC teams are playing in the Shaun Bailey memorial friendly games on 8-25? Pretty sad that he used to coach for CFC and they won’t even participate in this event

Plus they will get exposed as frauds if someone hammers them, have you seen there teams? Glorified C level travel teams, ECNL teams are average expect for 2002, they caught lightning in a bottle there. Norwalks Cup Champs, meets Monroe’s Top 2 players meets Everton girls programs best players. They trained 0 of those girls and they still win as much as they use too.

Not really, many of the CC'd recipients in their emails is wrong and they dont post anything anywhere. Again, these OW folks are not the sharpest bowling balls at the bowling lane when it comes to "technology" (if you can call email, texting, and websites that).

If your kid is on an Oakwood team, you would know all the information you need, and you would already know who is on your teams roster.. if you don’t know then you don’t belong to a team, and you shouldn’t care less about Oakwood rosters

Maybe we just enjoy watching the number of families this ridiculous club loses on an annual basis (sometimes monthly, depending on the team). Guessing that’s why rosters are no longer posted; hard times.

Oakwood does not lose players. They upgrade and if the remaining players feel they will not get the playing time they leave. Very simple. It also happens to oakwood where a few of the talents they trained have moved on to MLS sides. This is the way it is supposed to work.

Coaching is great. No complaints by the players and parents that are actually part of the club. I dont know where you get your information from. Coaches have even been recognized by US soccer.

Parents shouldnt be part of the club, they should just provide checks ..... way to chummy over there for some parents (especially the ones that coach).

In part I disagree - OW tries to get more family support via volunteering, as well as get sponsors etc to help keep costs lower. That can be a very good thing than just a commercial-only relationship. Where it gets problematic is when a few parents get too chummy with coaches or club management. However, that happens everywhere, not just OW. Lots of parents hoping to give their kids a leg up, most of the time because deep down they know their kid is only average and needs everything they can get
