Playing in front of hundreds of people....not at my daughters school, no one goes to watch the games... and they have one or two pasta parties... hardly missing any socializing and what makes you think that kids would travel without their friends to a DA game, boy what a twist you can put on things to make them come out the way you want them to be seen...girls always find a way too socialize, they certainly do not need to be on a sports team for that

You're soft. Not everyone is a soft as you. Their daughter may break like you did, definite possibility, but she may not. She may want it more than you did. To be a professional, you have to make sacrifices. You're mad you missed dances, football games, etc. That may not matter to her. Wether you possess god given ability or have to work your ass off, EVERY professional player has made sacrifices to get to that next level.

Oh FFS. NO ONE at OW has pro potential. CT overall has almost no one that makes it that far. At best the state gets a top D1 recruit or NT player every now and then. You must have a younger player who hasn't seen much serious national competition yet. If your kid really wants DA and absolutely won't miss HS (again, if she's younger then she has no idea how she's really going to feel about not being on the team) then that' great, she's got DA. But two years ago she could have played ECNL or NPL and been none the wiser.

I never take anything for granted, especially with crazy U little parents. They think their kid will have a full ride to Stanford or Duke by 8th grade.

It is interesting that they haven't posted the rosters. That was a big deal for a long time, and a sense of pride (back in the day) when your kid was listed. We've received emails still stating they are looking for players and to contact them if interested.
