Honestly as an OW parent of a player on an older team I can tell you that’s it’s a pretty humble parent group. Everyone knows exactly what we have.

The blister on this board is from clueless u14 parents who think they are watching Barcelona as well as a few select coaches.

These are basically the identical results that SoccerPlus would have at ECNL showcases a few years back.

The teams were clearly outclassed but with any luck there were coaches on the sidelines and girls got some looks that they otherwise wouldn't have. While it kills the egos of the OW crowd and certainly stifles the facebook and twitter posts, this probably grounds some of the parents in reality.

For the parents of the younger kids reading this, there's no OW kids heading to the women's national team, OW is most definitely not the best option for girl's soccer in CT and there's absolutely no reason to give up high school athletics to participate in this mess.

Thanks for the solid intel. Maybe if my daughter quits OW and plays for FSA or CFC my she'll have a direct pipeline to the USWNT because right now the UWSNT has all FSA and CFC players on it.

1 win 1 tie and all loses. Great showing vs the DA that lost all their top clubs back to the ECNL. With the Stars and PDA not being in the DA any longer the Northeast is weaker than the old NPL league Oakwood was in. Seacoast, Empire, LISC and Albertson Fury DA are embarrassments to the league.

We say the same thing about FSA every year in FLA TX, CALI, or Phoenix. Fortunately for them ECNL seeds their showcases so they play all if the other bad teams in ECNL and they get a win and a tie out if 3 games. CFCU is one notxh up because of one of their teams but mostly they are not much better and 8t will be interesting to see how they follow up last year ..... Keep the momentum going or sputter back down to the status quo.
