The strength of GDA is very regional. The Northeast conference, for whatever reason, is very poor. Top clubs in Northeast are in ECNL and their top talent stayed ECNL and avoided GDA. US Soccer needs to figure something out before the whole GDA experiment implodes. I have watched my daughters team win games by 7 goals in Northeast only to be exposed at National events. Time to get this fixed US Soccer or many of us are headed to ECNL clubs and high school soccer!

This state isn’t big enough to field 3 quality teams at each age group. CFCU is a proven option for those seeking college soccer. FSA works as well.

There’s literally no point to giving up HS sports to play in a weak NE GDA. Hopefully your kid still is young enough for you to pull out and escape this experiment

OW is clearly better than FSA but I would give the overall nod to CFCU by a little. They are not that much better.

What is in your core? OW best players are going to the same schools as the second and third option kids at FSA. I know that 2-3 of OW's best from 01-02 age group are UHart and Holy Cross. FSA has their best going to BC and Ivy and secondary going to UHart and HC.

Take the bronze and move on OW.

Two more losses for OW today, 3-0 and 4-0. Club is 0-6-1 with 3 GS (1 an own goal), 14 GA. A close game but a loss with at least one goal scored is one thing. Nothing on the board is not a good look.

Supposedly FL sucks also as well as a few other pockets. GDA wanted more clubs in the system than really shouldn't be there. It only got worse when several top clubs left and they had to fill holes with weaker ones. If you have a top GDA club near you and want GDA, that's great. But that isn't always the case and a nearby ECNL club may be the better choice.

Honestly as an OW parent of a player on an older team I can tell you that’s it’s a pretty humble parent group. Everyone knows exactly what we have.
