I've had one kid through CFCU and another there currently. I cannot recall them ever playing a friendly game. The schedule is very compact with most weekends having a Saturday and Sunday match. Then drop in a winter showcase, PDA and the National playoffs there isn't time for OW or anyone for that matter.

Honestly, the only people that would care about that game being played might be a handful of OW parents.

Frankly it's not even worth CFC's time even if they had it. The only time the two clubs get matched up is with the ulittle teams once in awhile at a tourney. But even that isn't often and certainly isn't representative of the older teams. Also, until this year DA teams weren't allowed to play non DA teams. Now they have a a few free dates where they can play outside the league. OW is welcome to call :)

We used to try to schedule friendlies with OW all the time. And, one time they said yes, they required that the parents not watch and stay in the parking lot for the entire game. OW did that. W4nkers.

Do you "know" this because OW told you? CFC isn't threatened by OW and won't bother. FSA is and won't play them because they might lose more players than they already do.

Lose players to a JV/rec club that won't let the kids play high school? FSA players are not going to OW.

A few boys do for BDA, which is definitely better than GDA at OW. OW GDA got a few ECN benchwarmers from both clubs but that's it. Most are former OW NPL players.

Boys at OW are decent. Girls are the opposite of that.

OW family here. We're going to Celtic.

                  Trolling, of course.

For a relatively good u12 boy (not a stud but pretty good), I’ve been told by parents that seem to know what they’re talking about that I should I have him tryout at ow if he’s looking to take a step up. I realize I’ll either get called a troll or a fake for asking, but is this good advice? If he doesn’t make the cut, who should I look to, Sporting? Rush? Ginga? or Southeast???

The oak 17 and 19 girls da teams are easily the strongest 2 teams in ct.

19 girls, who cares how good they are. They should have college commits by 17 so 19 doesn’t matter

What does HE want to do? Does he want to become a bettet playet or play for fun? Best bet is call them all and take him to a few practices over the winter. You can check the clubs out and they can see if he's a fit. But you also need to watch and see if he's a fit. Almost any club will take a few players to help the bottom line even if they hardly play
