whats the issue with taking on 1-2 good players every year. isnt that the point to create a positive training environement that will make every player challanged and better. just because you were at the club for several years doesnt mean your entiltled to stay.

its called life, in the real world your not doing your job good enough they'll find someone else that will do it better. why lie to kids tell them there great when there maybe not and give them a false sense of accomplishment?

there nothing wrong with what they do, in college a better player comes along your moved to the bench or out.

By HS rosters are pretty frozen. Clubs hesitate cutting a player for another that may only be equal. They're more likely to add a true starter. Those don't come around often by HS. Adding now and then should happen. Some players don't progress and clubs should always look to make a better team. The issue some posters have with OW is they have large turnover between MS and HS. If they're really developing players in theory the turnover shouldn't be so high.

That makes no sense. Most kids have a few players they have played with for years. Same club, team, coach. They do not all learn or develop in the same way at the same rate and become identical. Sports ability is an individual trait like every other type of ability. These are unique people not machines.

Yes frozen at about U15 when they have mostly replaced the kids they trained for 4-5 years and no outsiders show up any more .... see GDA tryouts over the past 2 years to confirm this. A handful of outsiders came and that was it .... for the next big thing .... imagine that!

the 05 OW GDA team by far the best team in the state and probably region.

Oh boy, OW has a newbie. OW 05s are 3rd in the state. They would come in dead last in ECNL. OW 05s GDA are beating up on 2006s teams and they have no clue what the real competitive landscape looks like. Word of advice newbie. Go check how OW GDA did at nationals last year. It was their first dose of reality playing against ex ECNL teams.

Yet another clueless poster. Please check your facts. Its possible that OW won NONE. Would you agree? FSA and CFC won a number of games. FSA01's won the Tier2 title (so lost none) and FSA03's went 2-0-1 in the Tier1 bracket. CFC03's went 1-2, CFC 04's 2-1, CFC02s 2-1.

GDA is growing stronger at the entry level ages in CT.
OW stronger at 2005 and 2006 levels - CFC and FSA both are weak in those age categories.
