The current ow 14’s are very strong, always have been. They are one of the top 3 teams in New England and have been for 2-3 years. And this year they picked up some studs.
You must be a new to OW. Have been top 3 in New England for last 2-3 years? Please. OW 14s have been playing in a third tier league. They haven’t seen any real competition and now with the way the GDA landscape has changed in the past year they remain in a third tier league.

Let me guess - your kid is one of the "studs?" Sorry she couldn't make CFCU.

You won’t see OW post these losing results on their Facebook page anytime

Nothing on Twitter about any girls teams. The 19s did tie NYCFC 1-1 but nothing on the 14s. So that probably means....

If the 14s didn't beat NYCFC that would be pretty sad since that team is predominately 2006s. There are more 2006's than 2005's on that team. Goes to show you the sad state of affairs for GDA in the Northeast.

Oakwood won 6-2. Quite a sad state of affairs for NYCFC. I guess they aren't attracting the talent after all. The team is made up of mostly 06's

lol one loss of four and with their youngest/newest team. #1 club last year in the region. Yes NYCFC has a real crisis on their hands. I'm sure they're panicked. Oh, and if NYCFC has a crisis then OW may as well close up shop now.

Do they have a real crisis, or are they not concerned about wins and are putting players in the best spots they can for their long-term development? Would you have beaten their 2005 team or even been able to compete? Take the win, enjoy the spotlight and your 15 minutes. When you play their correct age group, don't be surprised. Red Bulls commonly have lots of younger kids on each team to keep the games competitive as it is in the best interest of the players and the club. Keep gloating over a U14 win over a younger team. You will eat your foot later.

PS - This post was not directed at the OPs sarcasm, but those that think like his sentiment .... and their are plenty of OW 2005 faithful that put a lot of stock in that score.

No one is disputing that they're not a top club in the region and will continue to be. However, the fact that they cant assemble a solid GDA team of 2005s when its known they have solid 2005 players that are at World Class ECNL reflects more on GDA than the club itself. These younger ages are where GDA is supposed to pick up steam. It's easy for a 7th grader (2006) to choose to play up a year and play GDA for the novelty but its clear the decision for the 8th graders are becoming more real and are choosing to stay put. The question is what will these 2006s decide in the next two years. This is a microcosm of what's happening to GDA across the US. In the NE its failing miserably.
