Just for clarity, you dont "send" your kid to OW, or CFC, or FSA. Well maybe CFC and FSA to a point because they roll like 4 teams deep at certain ages, so I guess you could "send them" in those cases, as long as you wrote the check (this creates the problem of "my kid plays at XXX" - whats that mean takes some figuring out, most people dont understand the leagues).

At the higher levels of play OW, BS, CFC, FSA, NEFC, GPS, whatever organization... you dont get to send. The kid has to be chosen - meaning earn/fight for their spot. (again, in most cases, lets not debate the concept in its entirety - there is always the "relationship based selection" IE my dad works for a shoe/athletic company, or my dad buys lots of raffle tickets, or my dad went to college with you, deals, it sucks and is frustrating and is EVERYWHERE)

So from the gist of your comment, you probably wouldn't be able to send your kid there (any entity at high level - all the alphabet organizations), or they'd be there and you would not make these half baked comments. Whatever, hate whatever organization you want to hate, it is ok. Some people hate CFC, some BS, some OW, some FSA....

We all need to agree they ALL can be ugly for various reasons and the grass is not greener anywhere.

Ok, as I tried to state, the top teams are "you get chosen", the U-littles and the B,C,D NPL NEP CJSA CCSL NYCSL whatever leagues, yes you can just write a check and they'll place you somewhere, so I guess we agree. No on really cares if you the anonymous poster says their neighbors , brothers uncles roomates cousins daughter got "selected" and she sucked. These types of statements make this forum devolve into chaos. Its showing you are in the u-littles still and do not really understand the environment.

You don't "send" your kid to u16 DA/ECNL/even NPL, It goes the same for u14/13/12, you are high if you think so, the kids on the teams are like sharks and will eat your underqualified kid for lunch. Kids aren't stupid and know who doesnt deserve to be there and they will f with them incessantly.

oakwood academy teams are far from elite. Same teams that got hammered by 6 and 7 goals on the West coast?

They are taking warm bodies into the GDA in CT. Top few teams at CFCU are about the only "closed" teams around here and even they have bloated rosters.
