Im pretty sure that the people that have the most knowledge of whats going on is not on TS.

It is happening. I sat in on the meeting last Thursday night in Florida. Picks for the NT pool and training centers will be changing too. They are doing away with talent scouts and going to allow all Us Soccer sanctioned league clubs to send their best players to regional training centers multiple times a year. They acknowledged that a change is needed to get better players to national training centers. Once again, You no longer have to play on an academy team to get noticed.

That will be much better system provided the clubs get rewarded for sending real talent and punished for sending "talent" identified through corruption.

Or, it could get much worse as clubs send their "favorites" and local club politics/parents mean the best don't always get sent. Sorry but it's best there's some oversight on this. In fact my money is on it getting worse.

Not sure if you were at the last training center, but the talent was awful. It can’t get worse than the current situation

Do you really think the clubs have other talent that is hiding somewhere a scout didn't see? Having more "objective" selection (for the most part) is one of the better features. If will never be perfect. But leaving it up to clubs will be a cluster fuk

I will tell you this Stars has an 04 player who was excluded because she left the DA. She is probably the best 04 on the east coast right now and was told that she had everything it took to make the NT but if she didn’t play for a GDA team, she would never be invited back. If that is the right way to fill our NT, then we truly are screwed

comes down to playing style. there just isn't enough time to break the stars kids (for example) of the long-ball tactics and integrate them into the style.

Yes, selfish play until they are 21 and then the tactical awareness will magically appear and the ball hogging and turnovers will go away in favor of combination play. Happens at FSA all of the time ... NOT!

ECNL does it for boys and girls so DA must follow suit to keep pace (and generate more money by having additional teams).
