you are correct on the boys side of things!

the people who are aiming negative comments at ow on the girls side are either parents with a daughter in the bottom third of the team or parents who daughter is not good enough to play there. its as simple as that.

Or, they see past the smoke and mirrors and see it for what it is, just an average level club.

Barely the best club in CT .... you know that the NE includes NJ, PAE, NY and MA, right?

Really poor attempt at trolling. The Oakwood girls are in fine shape, learning the game.

Learning the game until 12 years old then get kicked out only to be replaced by other club players. Thanks for coming, don't let the door hit you

Yes, because, on the girls' side, OW cannot develop their own players. Other clubs do a better job. And, having to swallow GDA, Ow is now stuck with players who can't make h.s. varsity.

Still, the good news is the coaches get to play their own kids all the time, so there's that bonus.

has anyone asked the question why the good players from these other clubs leave their club to come to OW?

Just because your D's team is doing ok in a very weak NE GDA division don't kid yourself. They're not that good.

um....they don't. At least not on the girls side. Not one top player has moved over to OW GDA. BDA is a different animal, yet their boys teams are also just ok, not great. So are their boy's placements.

Because they can't make the A teams at their former club?

yeah. that's it. Stuck up OW at it again. Your ulittles stink fella. Your coaches are pompous azzes. Go ask Cameron or Sadler if they are great and they will surely tell you they are. Windbags.

The reality is what families care about is college. Placements and then playing time can serve as a rough proxy. On the positive side, OW seems to do a good job of placing kids in programs where they're well suited and playing (almost all are on the roster and getting solid freshman playing time). However, the quality of soccer programs where OW players go isn't high level, many are D3 and most don't require DA to make a roster.
