First of all the connected comment was directed at parent connections after school and not soccer.

As far as soccer is concerned, CFC network is the undisputed top in the state. That’s their entire platform and a huge reason why people travel from all over the state. It’s run by college coaches who are in constant contact with programs around the country.

If some of Oakwood girls had these resources they would had far better outcomes. OW really underperformed on college placement with the 2002 and 2003 groups. Going to third tier d2 schools is not a good landing spot for kids who make the sacrifices for academy. Sorry but total fail.

Lastly, I’m assuming that my your comments that you are a sheep u12 parent. You’ll feel differently when the kid is 16 or 17 and you see the looks kid from other clubs get

you need a coach or coaches at the upper levels at OW that has connections, cares and helps the girls when it comes to contact and recommendations to college coaches. MC doesn't do that and never has.

As an Oakwood parent good for her, looked up her stats and seems to be playing. Anyone on here defending what has become of the girls side at Oakwood just does not have a kid strong enough to make an ECNL team. Keep driving from all over for the GA by U14 it will be to late for you to jump. I know for sure we are out the door to an ECNL team already had private tryouts. If your kid is happy at the GA level stay but why bash the kids who want more.

Probably pretty easy to confirm if the kid scored or not. Also hard to score from the bench.
