The SPLIT will be apparent when the USSDA releases its 2019/20 schedule. Just look at their MLS Academy Schedules and compare that to the previous year opponent performances and you will see the 'tiers'

They're not even a good DA club. If MLS pulls out they become even more like any other club but with DA restrictions. Good luck with that

If MLS clubs pull out of DA, there is no point for USSF to continue to run the DA. The DA is to develop NT/pro talent, and most all of that talent is with MLS clubs (or overseas). Without the top players in the league, what exactly will USSF be scouting? Game over.

Disagree. When boys DA was implemented there were few fully funded MLS academies, and there were far fewer MLS teams in existence. MLS has grown dramatically since DA was launched - more teams, better facilities and fully funded academies....and most recently the introduction of training compensation and solidarity payments.

The training wheels can come off and USSF can step aside. It is now time for the pro soccer teams in the US to run the show and invest in the development of our youth.

BS is a college prep program that gets to play against MLS clubs that are developing professional players.

Not 100% true... Only a couple of teams are good and compete with other REAL academies. Beachside has teams in CCSL (the new Connecticut Travel League) and some in EDP, so please don't say Beachside is a college-prep program... Most of the kid going to D1 DO NOT GET SOCCER MONEY. Beachside is not telling people this. My Nephew was at there and playing D1 but not because of beachside.

The best players in BS WERE NOT developed by them. They just go around, calling parents and telling the kids they are the real deal and make teams with the players they steal/recruit from other clubs in the area

you are obviously an OW parent trying to deflect posters away from calling out OW for what they are, a sub par club with nothing left to hold onto now that people realize DA is a joke

This is a BS thread. There are plenty of dissatisfied BS families. Why throw OW in the mix? They already have a thread. The two clubs have a friendly rivalry and don't really compete for players much because of location.

OW a way better program than BS. Real facility, real pedigree, better track record. Look at recent commits for U19 team. No comparison.

Historically BS has had the edge, partly because of it's location near some of the best school districts in the state. Neither club makes it easy to find a more updated list. This was from USDA in the fall. Prior BS lists (link) are strong. OW obscures theirs, combining all their alumni into one list.
