BS coaches quitting
I am hearing there are numerous Beachside coaches quitting on Kydes this summer.
Obviously there isn't a girls program there anymore, so a lot of staff not needed, I would imagine SOME of that is going on. But then there was the chatter that GABE left, and now there is chatter that someone named Javier is leaving, and the club is not doing the right thing by other coaches ($) and a few snap resignations have followed.
Anyone surprised by this?
I swear, each year that place continues to shock their willingness to be optically in a death spin.

If Javier left, then I would say that's a good thing for those who are still with the club. Coaches like Javier are why BS has gone downhill. Now the question is whether any half decent coach in CT would consider working for MK at BS.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

Javier is a good guy. Now having said that, he’s not the coach that can make average players good or good players great. He’s a decent travel level coach at best but the new age Beachside is about delivering mediocrity in what they offer for coaching. If you look at the coaches that left over the past three years and compare with what they have now between the north and south branches as well as the Premier and Academy level then you will see why the club is failing. Not to mention working with MK is impossible for those who have a brain or balls of there own.Comment

BS dump the girls
I wouldn't be surprised if they have to merge with someone. They dropped their girls like a bad habit in the spring with no notification to the parents aside from a group meeting that the head of the club didn't even attend. Talk about an insult.

They don't have enough teams to survive. Their coaches are leaving in clips of two. Their TD (MK) is under several clouds of suspicion related to $, and the players are jumping from that club to other DA clubs, and even back to town programs because of their awful experience.

They are making smart choices. In CT there is no room for a fourth top level girls club. Also on the west side those girls are probably already to NY premier clubs.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

What happened to the rumors of DA splitting into multiple tiers? If this happens they will have additional trouble. Already losing best to NYCFC.Comment
